Avoid these companies. They are for profit companies. You may make payments for the next 3 years and still end up owing the credit card company money. It is a gamble. You can negotiate your own settlement.

might not be a scam…but they are expensive…you can make your own settlement with the cc comp on your own…better and cheaper…it’s free…

It is better to seek help from any reputed debt settlement company. Only such companies can handle it properly as experience in this field really matters when it comes to settlement or negotiation. most are scams. there are a lot of states’ attorneys general investigating these types of companies.

as mentioned earlier, you can usually get just as good an offer yourself by calling your cc company and explaining your situation.

I would suggest that you open up your options. Don’t just look at one company and go with them. Try to check out numerous and then evaluate them. That will prevent you from getting scammed. If there is a company that is really generous compared to others then you know something is up.
