is consumer credit counsel something that has good results?

i have heard mixed answers some say yes, others no, i would like to know if anyone has had experience with them, or if anyone has any knowledge about them that could help me out thanks

    Sorry, but I must disagree with the first poster. I used Consumer Credit Counseling Services several years ago and they lowered my monthly payment and interest rate to the point that I was debt free in 36-months and established a great payment history at the same time.

    They are the largest non-profit service of their kind in the nation and can be reached at 1-800-388-2227.

    It has been proven that they don’t have good results. The individual has to change which is a problem.

    You hear mixed results because there are a lot of scammers out there that just take your money and trash your credit. If you need help check this site: http://www.nfcc.org/. You will be able to find a Consumer Credit Counseling Service in your area. These are legit non-profit companies. They can look at your finances and advise you how to proceed. They also have debt management programs available if you qualify.
