What is the difference between Corporate Bonds and Corporate Debt Funds?
For example I can buy shares of the exchange traded fund: IShares S&P US Preferrd Stock Index Fund (PFF), which is classified as a Corporate Debt Funds BBB-Rated.
Is a corporate debt fund like PFF a collection of corporate bonds?
Thanks !
Can i pay corporate debt with personal monies?
I am trying to increase my new corporations’ credit score by moving some of my personal debt such as cell phone to my corporate account. If i pay this debt from my own pocket each month will i, or my corporation, be penalized, say tax wise, or any other way? This is a C corp.
Where do I find corporate debt ratings?
I’d like to do research on companies to determine their outstanding corporate debt and their ratings (AA, etc.), is there a public website available for this?
How does consolidating credit debt effect a credit rating?
My credit rating is probably better than the average as I pay all my credit bills on time, but I’d like to consolidate all the debt for a lower interest rate, with an eye on paying it all off faster. Would it be better to pay off the balances individually than to consolidate? How will zero credit card balances effect my credit rating?
Any suggestions, and any recommended books, would be appreciated. Thank you!

How to handle bad credit debt thats almost 10 years old but it still shows up on my credit reports?
I have atleast 4 major credit debts that was in the early 90′s i thought bad debt only remains on your credit for no longer than 7 years its almost over 10 years but they still show up on my credit reports. Is there anything I can go legally to take those off my credit history, Specially now that I am trying to rebuild my credit.
Consolidating debt through consumer credit counseling services?
I have approximately $2000 of credit card debt that I absolutely need to get paid down. i talked to consumer credit counseling services, a debt consolidation company, http://www.cccsstl.org/ and this is what i was told:
Basically they would cut my payments down to about $130 a month total for 3 cards by getting my interest rates lowered to between 6 and 10% approximately. I would pay it off in 2 years instead of 8 as i would now without consolidating. he said the $130 a month payment included a monthly fee of $49 directly to the credit counseling service for their help and services. Is that the normal thing when consolidating? Is that legitamet? I would only be paying $80 or so a month on the actual credit card debt and that doesn’t seem like very much to me.
Anyone have any knowledge in this area? Is consolidating a smart thing to do and does it hurt your credit in any way? Is there a smarter way to do it?
LONG-sorry and thanks!

Credit Debt?
I have under $5000 in debt, and I want to make payments, but the payments I can afford, are not even covering the interest I am being charged. This debt was written off as bad debt, and killing my credit along with my debt growing. Does anyone have ideas in ways to get this debt lowered, by negotiating? The majority of the debt came fom Capital One and the agency who now has the account said that they will not negotiate a payment plan with me, per Capital One’s requirements. They will work with me on a payoff, but I cannot afford the payoff. Any ideas out there?
